It was a good run, but Izard County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bay Yellowjackets by a score of 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since December 9, 2024.

Izard County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Izard County will welcome Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
