Recap: Elk Grove Thundering Herd vs. Franklin Wildcats
The Elk Grove Thundering Herd's's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past Franklin 44-0 on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Elk Grove's eight-point performance the game before.
Elk Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Archuleta, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Thomas Koi was in the mix as well, providing Elk Grove with two touchdowns.
Elk Grove has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Franklin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Elk Grove will be playing at home against Vacaville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vacaville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
