Soccer Preview: Alleghany vs. South Stokes        
        
		
             Alleghany is 1-7 against South Stokes since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Alleghany Trojans are on the road again  to play the South Stokes Sauras at 6:00  p.m.
 Alleghany is coming into the  matchup fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Mount Airy that saw the pair combine for 19 shots  on goal. Alleghany lost  9-0 to Mount Airy on Wednesday.  Jackson Biggins was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask South Stokes). They never let North Stokes onto the board and left with  a   9-0  win  on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  victory of the  season.
 Alleghany's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-4. As for South Stokes, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-1.
 Alleghany skirted past South Stokes  4-3 in their previous meeting  back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alleghany since the  squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
