After a string of ten wins, Salt Fork's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Storm of the 19-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Salt Fork's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-15 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salt Fork will host Seeger at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
