Volleyball Game Preview: Marquez Gladiators vs. Bell Eagles

The Marquez Gladiators will challenge the Bell Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Marquez is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Chatsworth just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chancellors.

Meanwhile, Bell didn't have quite enough to beat Legacy on Monday and fell 3-2. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bell took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Marquez's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Bell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Marquez was able to grind out a solid victory over Bell when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. Will Marquez repeat their success, or does Bell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
