            Basketball Recap: Washington Rams vs. La Joya Community Fighting Lobos        
        
		
        
        
            Washington was the  37-31 winner over La Joya Community when they last played one another  back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Washington Rams lost to the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos at home  by a   44-25 margin on Thursday. The Rams were down  40-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Ilana Bread, who  posted six points.
 Leading La Joya Community to victory were  Bella Begay and  Samaris Pena.  Begay  dropped  a double-double with 15  points and 12  rebounds, while  Pena  had 14 points along with seven  boards and five  steals. Begay has been hot for a while, having  posted eight or more  rebounds the last 19 times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Destiny Sanchez, who  scored eight  points in addition to five  boards and five  steals.
Washington has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost five of their last six matchups,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record  this season. As for La Joya Community, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-15.
As of now, neither Washington nor La Joya Community have any future games scheduled.
