Kosciusko is 8-2 against Greenwood since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Kosciusko Whippets will head out on the road to face off against the Greenwood Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Kosciusko's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Greenwood's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Kosciusko is headed into Friday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Houston.

Meanwhile, Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were beaten by Houston 72-24. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 72nd).

Kosciusko's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Greenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Everything came up roses for Kosciusko against Greenwood when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 55-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kosciusko since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
