Basketball Recap: Genesis Prep Academy Gets the Win

Genesis Prep Academy won the last time they faced Wallace and things went their way on Friday too. The Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars slipped by the Wallace Miners 53-52.

Despite the loss, Wallace still got an impressive performance from Julian Davis, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Cooper Miller was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Genesis Prep Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Wallace, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Genesis Prep Academy will square off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wallace, they will challenge Troy at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
