Softball Game Preview: Laurel Golden Tornadoes vs. Stone Tomcats

The Laurel Golden Tornadoes will take on the Stone Tomcats at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Laurel has given up an average of 18.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Laurel is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 20-3 to Vancleave.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stone). They walked away with a 12-7 victory over Clarkdale on Friday.

Stone now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
