Basketball Recap: Evan Flood and Riley Wilson Secure Win for Fonda-Fultonville

Fonda-Fultonville put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 58-47 victory over the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights. The Valley Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Knights, too.

Fonda-Fultonville was led to victory by Riley Wilson and Evan Flood. Wilson went 6 for 12 on his way to 23 points, while Flood posted 17 points. The matchup was Wilson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Hernigle, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Fonda-Fultonville's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Fonda-Fultonville will venture away from home to take on Berne-Knox-Westerlo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berne-Knox-Westerlo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Fonda-Fultonville likes a good challenge. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, they will host Duanesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Duanesburg will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons surely won't give up without a fight.
