Basketball Recap: Maddison Judge's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Greenwood over Park Tudor

Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 58-39 bruising from the Park Tudor Panthers. The Woodmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Greenwood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddison Judge, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Judge continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Gardner, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.

Even though they lost, Greenwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Park Tudor, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.

Greenwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-30 defeat against Bloomington South on the 20th. Park Tudor has also already played their next matchup, a 51-21 win against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 21st.
