Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Tri-Valley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Dover Crimson Tornadoes by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The Scotties' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Brady Kaufman was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Kaufman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Kaufman wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Harrold, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Tri-Valley's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Dover, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Tri-Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dover, they will square off against Miami Trace at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crimson Tornadoes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
