Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

Bloomfield lost against White River Valley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bloomfield Cardinals had to suffer through a 57-14 loss at the hands of the White River Valley Wolverines. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it ten in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Bloomfield lost, don't look at Lexi Oliphant. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for White River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Springs Valley in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bloomfield is facing Springs Valley at the right time seeing as Springs Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. White River Valley and Eastern Greene will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
