Softball Game Preview: Piscataway Chiefs vs. Middlesex Bluejays

Piscataway hasn't had much luck against Middlesex recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chiefs will take on the Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. Piscataway has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Piscataway came up short against Union Catholic on Monday, falling 21-4.

Piscataway saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Young, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Julianna Mena was another, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Middlesex never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Rutgers Prep on Saturday. They blew past the Argonauts 18-8. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Piscataway's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Middlesex, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Piscataway might still be hurting after the 20-11 defeat they got from Middlesex in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Chiefs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
