Baseball Recap: West Covina Extends Winning Streak to Four

West Covina lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Charter Oak, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Bulldogs blew past the Chargers 7-1 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Isaac Infranca was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Austin Nguyen was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

West Covina was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Charter Oak only posted a batting average of .120.

West Covina's record is now 17-10. As for Charter Oak, they dropped their record down to 9-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

West Covina will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
