Soccer Game Preview: Bellaire vs. Lamar

Bellaire has won seven straight games at home, while Lamar has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Bellaire Cardinals will welcome the Lamar Texans at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bellaire's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Heights. The Cardinals' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Ahava Babajanov was the driving force of Bellaire's attack as she scored both of Bellaire's goals, bringing her season total up to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Lamar's and Heights' match on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Lamar turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. Lamar was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Heights. Considering the Texans have won 13 games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bellaire has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 54 goals over those ten matchups. Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 17-0.
