Basketball Game Preview: Dixie Hornets vs. Crescent Tigers

The Dixie Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Crescent Tigers at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Dixie is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering McCormick just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 64-51 to the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Crescent hadn't done well against Palmetto recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 62-53 win over the Mustangs.

Crescent's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Dixie, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Dixie came out on top in a nail-biter against Crescent when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 69-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
