Softball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Eagles vs. Coosa Valley Academy Rebels
The home team had come away the winner the last three times Heritage Christian Academy and Coosa Valley Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Heritage Christian Academy Eagles took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Leah Pace was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
Pace wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was AC Amick, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that Amick snagged this season.
