Volleyball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Benjamin Franklin waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Warren Easton Fighting Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Benjamin Franklin was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-15, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Maleah Leal, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven contests. Sofia Nikolopoulou also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Benjamin Franklin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Benjamin Franklin's win bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Warren Easton, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Benjamin Franklin is set to square off against their familiar foe Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Warren Easton will challenge rival East St. John at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
