James River Midlothian proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Clover Hill 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Rapids in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Powhatan unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to Midlothian.

Powhatan's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for James River Midlothian, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
