Volleyball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King lost against Santiago back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The King Wolves came up short against the Santiago Sharks, falling 3-0. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

Santiago's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Tajo led the charge by getting 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Tajo has posted since back in February. Isaiah Guieb also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Santiago, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King and Centennial will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santiago, they will square off against Norco at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
