Basketball Recap: Lewis County Takes a Loss

Lewis County lost against Lawrence County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lewis County Lions took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawrence County Bulldogs. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lewis County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lawrence County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Lewis County and Lawrence County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Lewis County will take on West Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday up 139 places (104 vs. 243). Similarly, Lawrence County (ranked 76th) will meet Magoffin County (ranked 208th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
