Football Recap: Miami Valley Christian Academy Skates Past Fayetteville-Perry with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miami Valley Christian Academy). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-8 win over the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Miami Valley Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Will Cameron, who threw for 287 yards and six touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The Lions' leading receiver Lucas Livezey was Cameron's top target yet again, picking up 178 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The victory snapped Miami Valley Christian Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Miami Valley Christian Academy will face off against Cincinnati Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they will be playing at home against Norwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
