Baseball Recap: Forest Comes Up Short

If Forest was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Lake Weir last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Forest Wildcats came up short against the Harmony Longhorns on Monday, falling 8-2.

Forest got a good showing from Sneh Patel, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Patel has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Daniel Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Michael Dominguez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Forest has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. Harmony's record now sits at 13-3.

When Forest and Harmony next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Forest will take on Trenton and their nine-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harmony will try to stop Montverde Academy's five-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
