Baseball Recap: Chatham Central Takes a Loss

Chatham Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the Eastern Randolph Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 last Monday.

Reid Albright made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

Chatham Central's record now sits at 3-9. As for Eastern Randolph, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatham Central will head out to square off against Southern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southern Alamance's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Chatham Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Eastern Randolph, they will challenge Wheatmore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
