Softball Recap: Sturgeon Blanks Higbee

Sturgeon won against Higbee on Saturday with seven runs and decided to stick to that total again on Sunday. The Bulldogs never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. That's two games straight in which the Bulldogs have won by exactly seven runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Sturgeon and bumps their season record up to 8-16. Those wins were made possible by their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those two games. As for Higbee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sturgeon will stay at home for another game and welcome Wellsville-Middletown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Higbee, they will host Pilot Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
