Soccer Game Preview: David Crockett vs. Science Hill

David Crockett hasn't had much luck against Science Hill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pioneers will challenge the Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. David Crockett is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

David Crockett is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Sullivan East on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering David Crockett's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Sullivan East are ranked 247th).

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Science Hill and Dobyns-Bennett had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hilltoppers beat the Indians by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Science Hill were the better team in the second half.

Dylan Trull was the driving force of Science Hill's attack as he scored both of Science Hill's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

David Crockett's record now sits at 7-1-1. As for Science Hill, their record is now 5-3-2.

David Crockett couldn't quite get it done against Science Hill in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
