Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scott). They had just enough and edged out the Jellico Blue Devils 22-21 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Scott's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Jellico, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Scott and Jellico could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Highlanders will square off against Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (290 vs. 72). Meanwhile, Jellico (ranked 297th) will meet Wartburg Central (ranked 146th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
