Volleyball Recap: Animo South Los Angeles Comes Up Short

The Animo South Los Angeles Panthers lost 3-0 to the Rise Kohyang Tritons on Friday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Rise Kohyang was led to victory by Elvis Garcia and Emanuel Alcazar. Garcia had 23 assists and five aces, while Alcazar had five aces and four digs. Garcia is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 23 every time he's taken the court this season.

Animo South Los Angeles' loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Rise Kohyang, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Animo South Los Angeles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Stella High Charter Academy on the 24th. As for Rise Kohyang, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Smidt Tech on the 24th.
