Baseball Recap: West Marion Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for West Marion's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Columbia Academy Cougars on Tuesday. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

West Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trace McDonald, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base was McDonald's first of the season.

West Marion's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Columbia Academy, their record now sits at 4-2.

While West Marion had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
