Recap: First Baptist Christian Eagles vs. Brighton Bengals
The First Baptist Christian Eagles and the Brighton Bengals squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the First Baptist Christian Eagles had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 54-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to First Baptist Christian of the 56-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Brighton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reid Williams out in front who scored five points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. It was the first time this season that Williams posted eight or more assists. Damon Scott was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
First Baptist Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Brighton, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
First Baptist Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brighton also has no future games currently scheduled.
