It was a good run, but Bryan Station unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Frederick Douglass Broncos. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Defenders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-52 back in January.

Bryan Station's defeat ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-4. As for Frederick Douglass, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sayre the next time they take the court. Frederick Douglass will host Sayre at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Bryan Station will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
