Basketball Recap: Josh Perez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sioux County over Cody-Kilgore

Sioux County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 62-37 to the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cowboys/Cowgirls this season, with their most recent loss being a 58-18 defeat back in January.

Sioux County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Perez, who posted six points in addition to ten boards and four steals. That's the most steals Perez has posted since back in January of 2024. Preston Kreman was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Sioux County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cody-Kilgore, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Sioux County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cody-Kilgore, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-63 win against Hay Springs on the 27th.
