Baseball Recap: Stoughton Comes Up Short

Stoughton lost against McFarland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell 12-7 to the Spartans. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Sellnow made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Givon Storkson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Stoughton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for McFarland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

While Stoughton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
