Volleyball Recap: Barbe Extends Winning Streak to Four

Barbe waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Sulphur Golden Tors with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Buccaneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Tors, too.

One reason for the win was Barbe's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Barbe's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Sulphur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-21.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Barbe is set to square off against their familiar foe New Iberia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sulphur will challenge rival Acadiana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
