Football Recap: Raymond Central Takes a Loss

Raymond Central was the 32-21 winner over Lincoln Lutheran when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Friday.

Despite the loss, Raymond Central still got an impressive performance from Wyatt Jelinek, who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Henry Prokop continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln Lutheran, throwing for 121 yards and two TDs on only 11 passes, while also rushing for 97 yards.

Raymond Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lincoln Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Raymond Central will square off against Palmyra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they will face off against Conestoga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
