Softball Recap: University Trojans vs. Northwood Timberwolves

University had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 8-7 to make it four. They fell just short of the Northwood Timberwolves by a score of 14-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Sophia Weinberg made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Jessica Hu also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

As for Northwood, they moved to 5-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 18, 2024.

On Northwood's side, Natalie Keith was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI Keith has posted since back in March of 2024. Baylie Wong was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
