Softball Recap: Alanson Comes Up Short

Alanson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Michigan Christian Academy Comets, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 25-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Alanson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Alanson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Ignace at 4:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, they will challenge St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. on the 10th.
