Ponaganset strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Rogers Vikings get on the board and left with a 40-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won three games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Ponaganset found their leader in sophomore Zachari Rocchio, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Ponaganset was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 367 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

One reason for the win was Ponaganset's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ethan Lemanski and Daniel Cellucci, who racked up four sacks between them. Another thorn in Rogers' side was Rocchio, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Ponaganset's record is now 6-0. As for Rogers, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
