Soccer Game Preview: Lakota East vs. Princeton

The Lakota East Thunderhawks will face off against the Princeton Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lakota East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for Lakota East's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turpin on Monday. While losing is never fun, Lakota East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Turpin are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, Princeton lost 4-1 to Lakota West on Thursday. Princeton haven't had much luck with Lakota West recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lakota East's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-3. As for Princeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Lakota East skirted past Princeton 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Thunderhawks repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
