Basketball Game Preview: North Mahaska Warhawks vs. Lynnville-Sully Hawks

The North Mahaska Warhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Lynnville-Sully Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Lynnville-Sully is hoping to do what H-L-V couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to North Mahaska's winning streak, which now stands at three games. North Mahaska walked away with a 60-48 win over H-L-V. That's two games straight that the Warhawks have won by exactly 12 points.

Meanwhile, Lynnville-Sully posted their biggest victory since February 12th on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 64-22 win over Colfax-Mingo. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on three straight.

North Mahaska pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Lynnville-Sully, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

North Mahaska might still be hurting after the 58-37 loss they got from Lynnville-Sully in their previous meeting back in January. Can North Mahaska avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
