Soccer Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parkway West Longhorns. While losing is never fun, Eureka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Parkway West are ranked third).

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Parkway West, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Eureka will head out to square off against Vianney at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Parkway West, they will challenge Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
