You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Sotomayor on Friday. They put the hurt on the Warren Warriors with a sharp 64-42 victory. Winning may never get old, but the WILDCATS sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Sotomayor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Roger Thomas out in front who posted eight points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Thomas a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Demian Joyner, who earned nine points and eight rebounds.

Sotomayor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Warren still got an impressive performance from Devin Petersen, who had 12 points. Petersen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Rivas, who put up five points.

Sotomayor is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Warren, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-12.

Coincidentally, Sotomayor and Warren will both be playing Harlan the next time they take the court. Warren will head out to face Harlan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sotomayor will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
