Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Jackson Christian

Jackson Christian entered their tilt with Milan on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 10-5. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 10-1 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2021.

JT Mullins was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Eli Terry was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Jackson Christian pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Milan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Christian will welcome University School of Jackson at 6:10 p.m. on Monday. As for Milan, they will be playing at home against Gibson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Milan is facing Gibson County at the right time seeing as Gibson County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
