Bobby Rogers Delivers Best Performance of Season
Tom Bean came up short on Friday despite Bobby Rogers delivering his best game to date. Rogers rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He is becoming a predictor of Tom Bean's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
If history really does repeat itself, Rogers might just drop another big game when he faces off against Nocona on Friday. Rogers threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Indians duked it out back in October of 2023.

Davis Made His Presence Known in Wolfe City's 28-27 Victory
Hd Davis's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 11th-straight game with 102+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 305 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Wolfe City, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Davis and Wolfe City will venture away from home to face off against Whitewright at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Zane Fuentes Leads Alvord over Whitewright
Alvord was led to victory by Zane Fuentes, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Fuentes rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Unfortunately for Whitewright, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Fuentes. Fuentes rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Maguire Poole put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He picked up 35 receiving yards, and also rushed for 30 yards.
On the season, Poole has averaged 31 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 15.13 receiving yards per game.
