Grand County scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Junction Tigers. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Despite the loss, Grand County still got an impressive performance from Trace York, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 25 points. That's the most points York has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatym Bisco, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Even though they lost, Grand County was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Grand County's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Grand Junction, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Grand County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-45 defeat against Emery on the 14th. As for Grand Junction, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Grand Junction Tigers face off against the Delta Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Grand Junction's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
