Baseball Recap: Gibson County Pioneers vs. University School of Jackson Bruins
Gibson County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past the University School of Jackson Bruins 11-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Gibson County as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Logan White was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Croom, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Gibson County's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for University School of Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Westview the next time they take the field. University School of Jackson will host Westview at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Gibson County will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
