Baseball Recap: Skyline Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Skyline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Blackfoot Broncos 9-7. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Broncos on Thursday, they had to take a 5-3 loss.

The team relied heavily on Truman Sermon, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Hayden Nahay was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Skyline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Skyline's record is now 13-8. As for Blackfoot, they moved to 16-7 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Skyline beat the Broncos by a score of 12-9 on Friday.
