Football Recap: Southeastern Skates Past West End with Ease + How To Watch

Southeastern came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over the West End Patriots. Considering the Mustangs have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

John David Butts was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 181 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.

David Butts was just one part of a punishing run game: Southeastern was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West End, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Southeastern will look to defend their home field on Friday against Oakman at 7:00 p.m. West End does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
