Football Game Preview: Rossville Christian Academy Wolves vs. Regents Lions

The Rossville Christian Academy Wolves will face off against the Regents Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Rossville Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Oak Hill Academy as they won 39-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

A big part of Rossville Christian Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Landon Parrish and his top target Kagan Henson. Parrish threw for 316 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt while Henson picked up 168 receiving yards and three scores. Those 168 receiving yards gave Henson a new career-high. A healthy portion of Parrish's aerial production (99 yards to be exact) also went to Carson Hamilton.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Regents, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past West Memphis Christian 38-0 on Friday.

Rossville Christian Academy better keep an eye on Zane Hill. He was instrumental in Regents' win, throwing for 342 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 49 yards and one TD. Sutton Gore was Hill's top target, picking up 121 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Regents didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cade Yerty and Brody Dornbusch.

Regents' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Rossville Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Rossville Christian Academy has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 165.2 rushing yards a game.
